Mercedes Sanchez Granel – Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist
Mercedes is a Clinical Psychologist and a graduate member of PSI (the Psychological Society of Ireland). She has a Licentiate degree in Psychology, a postgraduate qualification in Psychology obtained in 2015 after having successfully completed a full-time, five-year period of study at Universidad del Salvador in Argentina. She is currently registered as a clinical psychologist in Argentina and in Spain and is awaiting the registration to open with CORU to register in Ireland.
She completed in 2020 a Master’s Degree in Clinical Practice in Psychoanalysis and Psychopathology at Universitat de Barcelona in Spain. Mercedes is also a member of ICLO (Irish Circle of Lacanian Psychoanalysis), a school within the NLS (New Lacanian School). Mercedes has participated and presented in seminars, workshops, conferences and congresses worldwide within ICLO, NLS, WAP (World Association of Psychoanalysis) and ELP (Escuela Lacaniana de Psicoanálisis).
Mercedes’ experience is based on work with adults, children, young people and their parents. She has experience in a variety of clinical settings including working with autism and severe mental health difficulties. She is working in space2be, a community-based project that is oriented by Plural Practice, a clinical intervention oriented by Lacanian Psychoanalysis in Naas, Ireland.
Mercedes offers psychoanalytic psychotherapy in English and Spanish.
