Yanet Morejon Hernandez – Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

Experience & Training

Yanet Morejon Hernandez holds a master’s in Educational Psychology (2018) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2013); both from the University of Havana, Cuba, where she is originally from. Yanet is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology at Maynooth University.

Since 2012, Yanet has been actively engaged in psychoanalytic training, integrating both theoretical and clinical practice. Her professional experience includes working with high-performance athletes and collaborating within the cinema industry. Yanet’s background reflects her experience in clinical practice, education, sports, and the arts, highlighting her interdisciplinary approach to psychoanalytic work.

Yanet has also supported clients facing personal and social conflicts, those navigating questions of gender and sexual identity, as well as individuals experiencing the psychological impact of immigration. She provides a non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and can explore their deepest concerns with complete confidentiality.

Membership / Professional Engagements

Yanet is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), as well as the Cuban Society of Psychology (SCP). She is also affiliated with NEL-Sección La Habana, a Lacanian psychoanalytic section of the Nueva Escuela Lacaniana del Campo Freudiano (NELcf), which is part of the World Association of Psychoanalysis (WAP). She has participated as a presenter, organizer and attendee in different workshops, seminars and conferences within the NEL, NLS and WAP.

Yanet offers psychoanalytic psychotherapy in English and Spanish.
